Only few shows bring smile on audiences face

Beautiful and bubbly, Sanaya Irani display's liveliness both on and off-screen.

The actress who ruled millions of hearts as goofy Khushi Kumari Gupta, hopes to continue bringing smile on audiences' face as chirpy Chhanchhan this time.

"I think half of the battle as an actor is already won when you are successful in bringing smile on audiences' face. No one likes to cry for half an hour and viewers any ways get to do that while watching a lot of other shows. There are few shows which bring pleasant smile on audiences face and I am hoping that our show is one of them," says the actress who plays Chhanchhan in Sony TV's show.

Sanaya adds, "Chhanchhan is bubbly but won't smile at each and every situation. If there is a situation where she's meant to be serious she will be serious. It's a light-hearted show and when you will watch my character you will have smile on your face. We intend to bring smile on viewer's face with our as it will work in our favor."

The actress also expressed her opinion about comparisons being drawn by people between her two roles of Khushi Kumari in Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon and that of Chhanchhan in Chhanchhan, "As per my perception, Gunjan was very conservative, very shy and she barely spoke whereas Khushi was a completely goofball but Chhanchhan is very today's girl. As an actor we only get to play two or three personalities like a serious person, a bubbly and then a shy person I think I've played all of it. So now I've not left much to play for myself I can do a negative role that's the only thing left but I don't plan to do it now," opines Sanaya.

Sanaya Irani

Sanaya Irani was born on 17 September 1988. She is an Indian actress known for her roles in television series such as Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi, she gained some popularity as the bubbly Sameera in Left Right Left. She gained immense popularity by potraying the role of Gunjan in Miley Jab Hum Tum. Born and brought up in Mumbai, Sanaya entered the glamour world with Ads and modeling. After her stint with modeling she decided to try something new and entered the world of acting. She hasn't taken any acting course but is a natural performer. Irani is good friends with her co-stars Rati Pandey, Arjun Bijlani, and Mohit Sehgal. She also acted in the movie Fanaa (2006).
Personal life:
She was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She received her schooling in Ooty. She is currently dating Mohit Sehgal (her co-star form Miley Jab Hum Tum). Other television actors that she is close to are Barun Sobti (her co-star from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon), Deepali Pansare, Ragini Khanna, Gautami Kapoor and Arjun Bijlani(co-star from Left Right Left and Miley Jab Hum Tum).
Career:
Sanaya Irani played a simple, girl next door in Miley Jam Hum Tum, a show based on college romance, very different from the glamorous role she portrayed in Radha ki Betiyaan kuch kar dikhaingi on NDTV Imagine.
She feels that in real life she’s completely opposite to the character she plays in the former.“I’m very loud and bubbly and talkative while Gunjan is not,” she says. But she’s happy to do the role because “due to my fair and pretty looks, many people said that I will not look Indian and will not suit in a salwar kameez — which is exactly what I’m doing in the show. In a way I wanted to prove a point. If Ash and Katrina can do it, why can’t I?” asks the actress who was also playing a commando in Left Right Left for some time.

Sanaya Irani, never wanted to get into acting. She was doing her BCom and had a desire to do MBA. But her mom thought otherwise. She felt that Sanaya should try modelling and acting.
So for a year she took a break from studies and ventured into modelling. Later auditions and acting happened and she enjoyed it. “I liked acting but I was not sure how good I was. I had also not enrolled myself into any acting course because I wanted to learn the art my way,” she says. So she started playing character roles and started learning things slowly and steadily. “I wanted to do a lead role only when I was ready for it. Right now I want to do more of young stuff and perhaps gradually do some saas bahu stuff too,” says the pretty lass who’s having a lot of fun on the sets with lots of youngsters around.
